OUR STORY
ELLE VU was founded in 2016 by Kaya Augustsson, inspired by her grandmother Elvy, after whom the brand is named. Kaya spent much of her childhood with Elvy, who taught her the art of sewing, which instilled a deep love for the craftsmanship, quality and tradition.
With a heritage rooted in a family history of working with their hands and living on the countryside, ELLE VU embodies a deep connection both to nature and to traditional craftsmanship.​
OUR PROCESS
ELLE VU stands for celebrating quality over quantity. In a world of fast fashion, we believe in the value of better clothes, not more clothes. We are dedicated to crafting minimalist designs that evoke curiosity and honor traditional Scandinavian craftsmanship. All our garments are meticulously handmade inhouse in our Borås atelier, ensuring limited production runs to avoid overproduction and maintain exceptional quality.

OUR FABRICS
At ELLE VU, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We are dedicated to minimizing environmental impact by sourcing deadstock fabrics —high-quality materials that would otherwise go unused. Many of these fabrics are woven in Italy, often originating from the excess from larger fashion houses. By working exclusively with natural fibers and repurposing these beautiful materials, we reduce waste while maintaining the high standards of craftsmanship that define our brand.
